

After visiting a museum one day, I was deeply attracted by the patterns of the artifacts on display. It is a pity that I can only see it with my own eyes in a museum. So I drew them as if I actually owned them.
I have been fond of patterns for quite a long time. This is not only due to my sense of identity with the culture I live in, but also because this exquisite beauty gives me the most straightforward visual experience.
So I created this series of works, using "if patterns could" as a hypothesis, imagining that patterns could really leave the museum and come into my life.

For my grad show project, Illusion of Reality, I drew inspiration from Chinese myths that explore the blurred boundaries between illusion and reality. Classic elements like butterflies, mirrors, and clouds were reimagined in a series of six illustrations, reflecting my deep interest in symbolic storytelling and visual metaphor.
